Retirement Villages Administrator

Reporting directly to the Chairperson and Counsellors, the incumbent will assist them to
professionally administer/manage
Kloof Retirement Villages in accordance with the rules, cultures and philosophies of the villages

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Day-to- day administration of Kloof Retirement Villages
  • Liaison with Counsellors and the management agent
  • Handle enquiries from owners (KRHA), residents and the general public
  • Manage complaints and take remedial action where necessary
  • Supervise the operations of the contractors and service providers
  • Handle internal and external communication
  • Attend the AGM’s, and meetings of the various villages Management Associations
  • Attend the Kloof Retirement Homes Association’s GC&C, and Exco meetings
  • Marketing and promotion of Kloof Retirement Villages, including maintenance of the KRV website
  • Carry out routine inspections of the property and address maintenance issues
  • Oversee the sourcing of, and work carried out by, external contractors
  • In respect of property re-sales, oversee refurbishment, and where necessary upgrading
  • Ensure that the cost of the foregoing is accurately recovered in the re-sale
  • Assist in maintaining a safe environment, in compliance with all health and Safety regulation.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Financial acumen, and abilities
  • An understanding of the ageing process and a commitment to the well-being of our residents
  • A Degree level education
  • Proven management experience and skills
  • The ability to multi-task and work under pressure
  • Basic computer skills in Word, Excel, and e-mail
  • A valid driver’s licence and transport

Hours: 08h00 to 16h30 ( Mon to Fri)
