Winston Park Care Centre
Kloof Retirement Villages, encompassing the Kloof Rest Home Association, has been in the care profession since 1904. From the very same site on which our head office is situated today, the Loyal Guild of Woman cared for wounded soldiers and even hosted their family members, during the Boer War.
Today, an integral part of our care philosophy, the Winston Park Care Centre, continues this proud tradition. Situated within the grounds of Chartwell Estate, our flagship retirement village established in the early part of this century, this Care Centre has earned a revered reputation within the community for providing superlative 24 hour care. The care is undertaken by a competent and compassionate staff team, under the management of committed Nursing Sisters.
The Care Centre, managed independently from Chartwell Estate, by Kloof Retirement Villages, offers spacious, single rooms, each with their own en-suite toilet. The rooms have doors leading directly on to accessible, picturesque gardens. We also have double rooms for the accommodation of couples.
The philosophy of Winston Park Care Centre encourages residents to arrange their rooms according to their own individual tastes, thus creating a familiar and homely environment. The policy of unfettered visiting hours encourages spontaneous family visits, whilst simultaneously enhancing the ‘Home from Home’ atmosphere. The residents receive full 24 hour professional nursing care; with rooms being serviced daily. All meals are prepared to perfection by professional caterers.
Staff, working together with Medical Practitioners and families, ensure that appropriate care plans are implemented in order to satisfy individual needs.
Other facilities include a comprehensive and tastefully stocked library located in an adjacent Community Centre; a venue accessible to residents.
Winston Park Care Centre provides holistic care through the full spectrum of the ageing process. Staff, working together with Medical Practitioners and families, ensure that appropriate care plans are implemented in order to satisfy individual needs.
